Supporting Women Owned Businesses on International Women’s Day

The International Women’s Day website calls on everyone to “make a difference, think globally and act locally” on International Women’s Day. A great way to do that is by supporting your local, women-owned businesses.

 

Did you know Whitefish has a higher percentage of Women Owned Businesses than anywhere else in the state? There are plenty of women-owned businesses throughout the Flathead that you can support on International Women’s Day.  For example, if you are looking for something to do with friends on International Women’s Day, consider grabbing a beer at Sacred Waters Brewing in Kalispell! Go Sail Flathead Lake is also a woman-owned business and while the waters may not be warm enough to sail on yet— it’s not too early to book your summer sailing trip!

Building A Strong Network of Women in the Flathead Valley on International Women’s Day

If you live in the Flathead Valley, International Women’s Day is a fantastic day to commit yourself to building a stronger network of women in the community. You can start your own empowering women’s group or join one that already exists! If you aren’t sure where to start, consider joining Outsiety, an organization committed to restoring the value of female friendships in the Flathead.
