Requirements for Renting a Sailboat on Flathead Lake
In order to rent a sailboat on Flathead Lake, you must have prior sailing experience. While ASA certifications aren’t required, they are recommended. If you don’t have experience sailing, not to worry! You can charter a sailboat with a captain instead or even get your ASA certifications so you can bareboat sail without a captain next time you’re out on the lake!

Sailboat rentals on Flathead Lake are available as botb half day and full day rentals. Full day rentals are 6 hours long and cost just under $500. Half day rentals can be booked for just under $300 for 3 hours. Neither of these rental options come with a captain and both options require previous sailing experience.
